Download the free Demo
Open the Hillthorn Demo on Steam and choose Install Demo. The Demo has its own Steam listing, separate from the full game.
The trial introduces several locations and puzzles. No standard playtime has been announced. How long you spend investigating will depend on how you approach the clues.
Release date and platforms
Hillthorn is scheduled to launch on November 10, 2026. The full game is still upcoming as of November 1.
| Platform | Announced availability |
|---|---|
| Steam | Full game planned; free Demo available |
| Mac and Linux | Support announced |
| Nintendo Switch | Launch platform announced |
| iOS and Android | Launch platforms announced |
The free Steam Demo should not be taken as a promise of a Demo on every platform.
Will the Demo stay available?
The developer’s stated aim is to keep the Demo available after launch. That is a plan, rather than a guarantee of permanent availability; no removal date has been announced in that statement.
Before you begin
Start with card colors and action icons, then use the Abigail office hints if the opening conversation stalls. The Demo has expanded language support beyond English and French; see display and language settings for the font update.
